About My Journey
I’m Deepika Khatri.
My journey into design began long before degrees and studios — it started with an unusual obsession for order, symmetry, and that invisible line where detail meets instinct. Some call it OCD. I call it the beginning of my eye.

From topping my class at Sardar Patel University in Anand to shaping my early years under the thoughtful guidance of MS Design Studio and JAD Arch in Vadodara, every step built a quiet foundation — where craft met care, and blueprints began to feel like second skin.
2017 to 2022 were my years of apprenticeship and absorption.
A time of learning how spaces breathe — how they host life, not just objects. And when it felt right, I stepped out of the fold and into the light — founding Dotknot Interiors in Vadodara. A brand where I create designs closely, intentionally, curiously. One where I could build my own rhythm with collaborators, craftspeople, and stories waiting to unfold through walls, windows, and whispers. Since then, I’ve worked across homes, hideaways, workplaces, and spaces that don’t fit labels. The occasional project that needs to feel like a memory. The familiar that’s ready for a new layer. The unexpected that wants to feel lived-in.
In 2024, I shifted base to Bangalore — a city that felt like a dialogue. I joined Tesor, to understand the anatomy of large-scale design systems. To go wide, while staying rooted.
Now, with both small details and big-picture operations stitched into my practice, I find myself seeking spaces that question the usual. Designs that invite pause. Collaborations that feel like conversations.
Dotknot continues to be the space of play and precision — where design is never just about looking good, but always about feeling right.
